PHYSICAL CAPABILITY

Woven throughout the programme — because knowing what to do is one thing. Being able to act is another.

Judgement. Capability. Confidence. Agency.

They won't just learn self-defence.

They learn why......

  • their brain takes shortcuts.
  • anger can hijack decisions.
  • people follow crowds even when the crowd is wrong.
  • algorithms learn what keeps them engaged.
  • attention has become a commodity.
  • asking someone a good question can transform a conversation.
  • confidence comes from capability, not just positive thinking.
  • walking away can sometimes be the strongest decision.
  • opportunities often appear to people who know how to recognise them.
  • And yes, they'll learn practical physical skills too.
Don't just watch. Decide.
Live Ready puts you in the driver's seat.
A head start for whatever comes next.
Because knowing isn't the same as being ready.

Practical physical skills are woven throughout Live Ready — so you don't just understand what to do. You practise doing it.

From posture, distance and movement to instinctive physical responses, students gradually build a physical vocabulary they can access under pressure.

Because the moments that matter don't come with instructions.

Pressure happens.

Difficult decisions have to be made.

Opportunities appear.

Sometimes something just doesn't feel right.

What matters is being ready to act.

Judgement.

Capability.

Confidence.

Agency.

Smarter Decisions

How I Choose

The adolescent brain is still developing the systems responsible for planning, judgement and impulse control, while emotion, reward and social influence can hit hard.

That isn’t a weakness. Taking risks, trying new things and becoming independent are important parts of growing up. But add excitement, pressure or the fear of being left out, and a sensible decision can suddenly become much harder to make.

What if they could understand these influences and practise their decisions before the stakes were real?

Live Ready uses interactive scenarios to help young people explore situations, consider consequences and pressure-test their thinking in a safe environment.

They also develop their own Personal Rules — decisions and boundaries made with a clear head, ready to draw upon when pressure is on.

The result? Better judgement, greater personal agency and a young person who is learning to make choices based on what is right for them — not simply what is happening around them.

But making a good decision starts with something else: seeing the situation clearly in the first place.

How I Read The World

Life doesn't always give us time to stop, research and carefully consider what is happening. People can influence us, pressure us and manipulate our emotions — while opportunities can also appear and disappear just as quickly.

The ability to pause, observe and ask the right questions can change what happens next.

What if they could learn to look beyond what people say to better understand what's really happening?

Live Ready develops situational awareness and tactical thinking through realistic scenarios. They learn to question assumptions, consider intentions, pressures and the influences behind a situation.

The goal isn't to make them suspicious, just more switched on — to see potential problems earlier, recognise opportunities and make choices to better serve them.

This tactical test highlights how they read the world

Emotional resilience

How I Manage Myself

Emotions are powerful. Fear can make us freeze. Anger can make us react. Embarrassment can make us take risks, while rejection or failure can sometimes make us want to give up.

Emotion is part of being human. The skill is recognising when it starts taking control of our decisions.

What if they could recognise when emotions were taking over — and know how to respond?

Live Ready helps young people understand their triggers, stay calmer and think more clearly under pressure.

They learn that resilience isn't about avoiding setbacks. It's learning how to respond, recover and move on. How do you respond under pressure? Take the character test.

How I Respond When Necessary

Most difficult situations can be avoided. But sometimes boundaries are ignored and things change quickly.

In those moments, knowing what to do is very different from being able to do it.

Live Ready builds verbal and physical agency through simple, repeatable training — helping young people create distance, set boundaries, move effectively and respond when avoidance is no longer enough.

The aim isn't to create fighters. It's to build confidence, capability and practical options when they matter most.
